Dog Leads
Below are some details on the leads I make in my videos.
A little about the main materials I use...
Paracord: 550 USA military grade paracord. The cord used is 100% nylon and has 7 inner strands surrounded by the coloured sheath which gives each single piece of cord an amazing breaking strength in excess of 240kg.
Yacht Rope: has up to 1100kg+ breaking strength (depending on rope width)
100% cotton rope: has up to 300kg+ breaking strength (depending on rope width).
Rope Dog Leads:
The ultimate grab and go lead. These leads are what I personally use everyday with my dogs. Strong, lightweight, very flexible (easily folds into your pocket) and super easy to wash. These leads can be put in the washing machine and washed at 30c, coming out as new. A variety of widths are available making them suitable for every dog size from the very smallest to the very biggest.
Materials: Made with yacht or cotton rope. With yacht rope being widely used in the boating industry, it has a high strength to weight ratio and is designed to remain light even when wet.
Beaded Dog Leads:
Perfect for shows! These leads are mainly designed with showing in mind (of course they do not need to be used just for showing!) Although still very strong these leads suit very small to medium dogs. Can be customised with what ever colour beads you choose. Can be handwashed and wash up like new.
Materials: USA produced military grade paracord, metal trigger hook and beaded using acrylic, crystal, Tibetan silver or wooden beads.
Woven Paracord Dog Leads:
Great to use as an everyday lead. Extremely strong, flexible and can be made with colours as loud or subtle as you like. Will suit all sizes as weaves/strands are altered accordingly to give even more strength. Can be widely customised to a variety of widths and many colours. Can be handwashed and wash up like new.
Materials: USA produced military grade paracord, metal trigger hook.
